'Who am I?' as the song goes. I am a man who grew up in the moral seventies, passed through the pre-libertine 80's, witnessed the sexually explicit 9o's and is electrocuted by the morally bankrupt 90's and 2000's. Whilst shaking my head ruefully at what the world is turning to, whilst battling my spiritual convictions against worldly attitudes, whilst going through the maze of the new 'Sodom and Gomorah' amongst us, I still somehow get in touch with my artistic side within me and try to appreciate the oft-crazy things which conflict with my personal etiquette. I may be guilty of moralising here [Thanks, Mom for bringing me up by hand!] but then, if I am to be a better role model [as I would like to think some elements have made me...or am I blowwing much of my foghorn here?] then those who wish to be my pals and mentors would best imbibe my moral coda. It helps to have one to keep you focused.
I am a filmmaker, dancing in the moonlit circle of Nollywood. God has been good to illuminate my dancing space thus far. I am a writer, an arrested poet with stunted poecy. I am an actor, one of the pioneers who clutched at the cusp of Nollywood as it were. I am a producer and Director, with an eye for details and talent, very blunt in my opinions and goring oxes on my way too!
I am a doting husband and a father, with a renewed love for all that I hold dear, Happy, my wife and backbone and Nosakhare, my little angel who electrocutes me with her warmth and love for me.
Most of all, I am a Christian, who opines that many millineum pentecostal churches in Nigeria today have the worst doctrines since the Pharisees in Our Lord Jesus' time! The Gospel is about salvation and not ultra-prosperity as being proselytized by designer-wearing pastors and self-styled Bishops. That is a blog for another day...
I am just me. Approachable, friendly if I have to be and insightful. Welcome to my world.
